Who says over 18s should have all the music festival fun? Certainly not us. Which is why we’ve put together our top 5 underage festivals around Australia for you to add to your list of must-experience music events. From the Big Top at Luna Park, Sydney and the award-winning Bluesfest in Byron Bay to The Falls at Marion Bay in Tasmania – we’ve got everything (and everywhere) covered.

Come Together Festival (Sydney)

Set by the Harbour in Luna Park at the Big Top, with unlimited rides passes for all and some of the biggest and freshest local names in the industry, Come Together is an Aussie-packed, music-lover’s dream. Accessible to all ages (13+), this year’s event has returned to its original two-day format, with hip hop on Saturday, and indie music on Sunday. Bluesfest (Byron Bay)

Bluesfest is Australia’s multi-award winning and internationally renowned all-ages festival in Byron Bay. 2015’s event hosted the likes of Hozier, Angus & Julia Stone, Boy and Bear, Alabama Shakes, Zac Brown Band, Jurassic 5 and more, with 2016 set to be bigger and better. If you’re a blues fan, Bluesfest remains one of Australia's most respected Festivals, making it certainly worth penning into your festival calendar. HyperFest (City of Swans, WA)

HyperFest is a major all-ages music and arts festival based in the City of Swan that’s been running since 2000. The 2015 line-up saw the likes of Finders, Puck, Roswell, Odlaw, Being Beta, Girl York, Daybreak, Rag N' Bone, Calm, Collected, Sanctions, Falls Marion bay, Sounds ace and more perform. Falls Music & Arts Festival (Marion Bay, Lorne and Byron Bay)

The Falls is a multi-day camping event that kicks off at the end of December in Marion Bay, Tasmania among other locations around Australia. This beauty brings its crowds bands and their tunes from around the globe to one awesome location. Soundwave (National)

For the first time ever, 2015’s Soundwave festival was held over a jam-packed two days and featured a crazy amount of international and local talent. From Smashing Pumpkins and Faith No More to Marilyn Manson and Incubus, Soundwave proved that yet again, it was an event not to be missed. The Sydney festival is strictly 15+ while Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide are 12+ with Under 15's needing a parent or guardian to enter.
